Yet Another Evolution
Today Samsung announced the Galaxy S5 along with gear devices. I have anticipated the event for a long time, however I am not that impressed. The main design ideas that dominated the successful Galaxy S4 are still here, the two are almost indistinguishable when seen from the front. The back has changed though (I do not like it personally) and opinions vary on Samsung's design choices.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with a 5.1-inch, Super Amoled 1080p display and a 2,800 mAh battery, Samsung claims you get 10 hours of web browsing and 12 hours of video playback. It has a faster 2.5 GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of RAM. In addition the camera sensor is now 16 MP and shoots video in 4K. Some of the most interesting additions are the water and dust resistance feature, the fingerprint scanner and the ultra power-saving mode. The ultra power saving mode turns the screen black and white to conserve energy when the battery level is low. This time around Samsung cuts down on the software gimmick side of the device, however are these improvements enough to make you buy it?
Will you go out and buy the Samsung Galaxy S5?
