MWC 2014: 4K Mobile Gaming Is Coming on Android

Mobile Gaming Is Coming on Android
Faster than you think

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor may have been announced back in November, however today the company presented its own Android tablet that has a 4K resolution. The tablet is on show today at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The tablet has a 3,840 x 2,160 resolution and playable frame-rates when gaming.

Additionally the processor will come with an Adreno 420 graphics processor that the company claims is 40 per cent faster than the previous generation. The CPU will be capable of running at speeds of up to 2.5 GHz per core. These news are amazing, however they bring up another major issue that has yet to be addressed, battery life. There is a lot of debate going on about the logic behind the continuous battle of specifications between companies and if all of this is pointless as far as screen resolution is considered.

Mobile computing is thought to be the future, although we will not abandon our PCs just yet. Mobile technology has come a long way but there needs to be a lot more development and issue solving in order to really be able to use mobile technology in its full potential. The race between companies is great for the consumer, competition is what drives us forward.

What is your opinion?
